Coming this spring.

John has a pretty sturdy patio furniture set that one of his clients gave him when he was repainting her house.  She was getting new furniture herself and didn’t want it anymore so he scooped it up.  The fabric is getting worn out and the factory painted green paint is boring and needs to be redone.  For months now I have been toying with the idea painting them an amazing hot pink color like this one.

It seemed like an awesome bold statement for the patio, but then I realized that I wanted to reupholster the cushions as well and I wanted some color in the fabric so hot pink could be tough beans to deal with!  So then John and I started thinking about maybe doing black or white for the furniture and picking a bold fabric.  In the end I decided that I just really needed to pick a fabric first.  So I went over to one of my favorite fabric websites called Fabric Guru and purchased these samples.

From the website I thought I would be really interested in the orange ones since orange is John’s favorite color, but once they came in we both decided that the top left hand side was our winner.  The fabric felt super durable and it was bold enough without being too over the top that we could still maybe use a color for the furniture instead of boring and blah gloss black.  :)

Coming this spring, when it gets a little bit warmer for several consecutive days, …. more pictures!!

    • I’m pretty excited. I kept asking John what color HE wanted since they are his and he keeps telling me to do whatever I want to do because it’ll make me happy. :-D I’m super excited to get started on them when it gets a little more predictable weather-wise out in this crazy state.
