ReFashionista

This girl is why I decided I wasn’t crazy to buy a brand new sewing machine and start messing around.  Check out her ReFashionista show that she just recently put on where she took ten different women of different shapes and sizes and refashioned a piece of clothing that was ill-fitting and unflattering into something amazing.  For instance, here is a preview below…

Erin and her awesome wedding dress before.

Erin and her wedding dress refashioned into something she can wear again!  Amazing, right?

  1. Hey Lauren! Really cute dress!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. You don’t ever have to feel out of place. Stop by any time you want and strike up any kind of conversation you want. The only things I won’t respond to is foul language or sexual inuendo (spelling). LOL! Anyway, as for you question, men have treated women like second class citizens for thousands of years. Even when Jesus was alive. He was the exception to the rule for that day and time. I say that but even God’s Bible instructs us to do. Just as the serpent deceived Eve in the garden by twisting God’s words around so that it sounded like he was interpreting what God said, he was actually mixing a Little truth with A lot of lies and messed with Eve’s mind. He does the same with us today.
I personally think that he messes with men’s minds as well. He fills them with so much pride that they forget that they are made the same way we women are and they are no better.
Of course that is just my opinion. Jesus gave the men an attitude adjustment when they were going to stone the woman who was living out of wedlock with a man, (an action punishable by death in those times) but he told them “he who is WITHOUT sin cast the first stone. They all through their stones down and left. Another instance was when His disciples criticized a woman for anointing Jesus with oil instead of just giving it to them to sell so they could use it to feed the poor. Jesus rebuked them for criticizing her. There are many instances where man should have listened and learned about how to treat women in the Bible, but history continues to repeat itself. Unfortunately, it will continue to get worse. His Word also says that in the last days children will turn against their parents, sisters and brothers against each other, husbands and wives against each other. We are in those last days.

    • That’s a really interesting point of view. :) Like I said I’m not religious so I don’t ever really think about it from a religious point of view, but I do get frustrated with some men and their inabilities to see women for what they are. John is amazing to me and there isn’t that “I’m less than” attitude with him towards me, so it makes our relationship the best that it can be!
